What I do with your details.
The short version: you fill in the form, it lands in my inbox, I reply. I don't sell anything on, and I don't add you to a list.
Who this is about
Forge Agency is a one-person business run by Rohan Kilty in Sydney, New South Wales. When this page says “I”, it means me, and when it says “this site”, it means theforgeagency.com.au.
What I collect
Only what you type into the contact form:
- Your name and your business name
- Your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it
- What kind of business you run, and what you need help with
- Whatever you write in the message box
- Which page of this site you came from, recorded automatically, so I know whether an enquiry started on the trades page or the health page
There is no account to create, no login, and nothing else on this site asks you for personal information.
Why I collect it
To reply to you, and to have a sensible first conversation about your business. That's it. I use your email or phone to answer you, and the rest to understand what you're asking before we speak.
What I don't do with it
- I don't sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their own marketing
- I don't add you to a newsletter or an automated sales sequence
- I don't use it to build a profile of you or target you with advertising
Who else can see it, by necessity
Running a website means a few other companies handle data on the way through. They see it because they have to, not because I've shared it with them for their own purposes:
- Netlify hosts this site and receives the contact form. Your submission sits in their system as well as my inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses. Loading a page asks Google for those font files, which means Google sees the request, including your IP address.
- Google Analytics measures how the site is used, if and when it is switched on: which pages people read, roughly where in the world they are, and whether an enquiry came from the trades page or the health page. It does not tell me who you are.
- My email provider holds the message once it reaches my inbox, the same as any email you send me.
Each of these companies has its own privacy terms, and some store data outside Australia.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If Google Analytics is switched on, it sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another.
How long I keep it
Enquiries stay in my inbox and in Netlify's form records so I have a history of who I've spoken to. If we end up working together, I keep what I need for the normal business reasons: the work itself, invoices, and tax records. If we don't, and you'd rather I didn't keep it, ask me and I'll delete it.
Seeing it, correcting it, or having it deleted
Email me at rohan@theforgeagency.com.au and tell me what you want. I'll ask enough to be sure it's you, then show you what I hold, fix anything wrong, or delete it. No charge, and I'll come back to you within a week.
If you're not happy with how I've handled it
Tell me first and I'll try to sort it out. If that doesn't satisfy you, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes privacy complaints at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this page
If what I do with your details changes, I'll change this page and update the date below. I won't quietly start doing something different with information you've already given me.
